Check this out. Here are some accomplishments the Pistons have done over the years.

No team had won three road games in the 2-3-2 Finals format until the 1990 Pistons did it against Portland. And by the way the Pistons had lost 17 straight times in the Rose City.

Last year the Pistons became the first team to win all three home games in the 2-3-2 format against the Lakers.

This year they became the first road team trailing 3-2 in the 2-3-2 to win game 6. The Pistons had lost 10 in a row in San Antonio before breaking through.

In the last two years the Pistons have played in 8 playoff series.
They either began or lost home court edge in 7 of them. They've won all the series with a chance to win the seventh.

They have trailed after game 3 or beyond in five of the eight series, yet they could repeat as champions.

They are like the end of a horror movie where the bad guy gets it, yet leaps up again to do more damage before going down again.

How about this one for kicks as well? I just left it in a comment on your previous post, but I will put it here as well.

IF - IF - IF - IF (did I stress if enough there?)the Pistons pull this out it will be another five game sweep, sort of, like last years finals. Throw games one and two out and look at the last five games of the series, pretending that they win game #7. Take out that 5.8 second melt down and the Pistons have been better in every game. That would be a strange coincidence, but they still got to do it.

Damn these guys, why do they like forcing me into taking all this heart medication? "This is what we do" - can't you just do it the easy way for once guys? Damn.

The Pistons really are like Arnold at the end of The Terminator. You blow 'em up, you try and crush 'em, but they just won't die.

A Game 7 victory? Why the hell not?

NO LIE about the medication

I am travelling in China/japan this week (which s**Ks). Borrowed a blackberry to get scores during a meeting (9 AM here). Game 5 was acutally replayed on tv in shanghai in the middle of the night - but i missed it. There is no good tv in japan unless you dig the hanshin tigers.

This same thing happened to me last year - by chance I found game 5 vs lakers being replayed a week later on a beautiful flat screen tv in a bus station in kobe japan. I had to stand there for an hour but it was so cool.

SD I like they way you think and judging from the post game stuff I saw for 4, 5, & 6 I think the Pistons have settled down for a familiar scene.

I admit the tide can turn in G7 - bad shots, bad calls, bad play... whatever. But I know for sure this team deserves to be called world champs even if its only for another day.

TErry - what bout this "streaming" thing you said on the other posting?

Doesn't look like Flip is coming to Detroit. I hear he is going to Milwaukee (he is close with owner Herb Kohl) and have agreed in principle on a contract. Heard anything TFos?
