Tram Will Be Around for a While

Here is the official word on Alan Trammell as it stands today. He will not be fired during the season, no matter what happens. The Tigers want him to see it through. Also chances are Trammell will start the 2006 season as Tigers manager. That is not etched in stone, but the team is leaning toward bringing him back. There is a feeling he did not get to work with all of his players. The organization wants to make a determination after he does that next season along with a couple more pieces. Those pieces are expected to be a left-handed power bat and another starting pitcher. If he gets his pieces and the Tigers start slowly, then we could see a quick hook.

Skip Tramms Terry I am more worried about Dombroski. You can;t deny what he had done for the Tigers. I really hope he is will comeback and finish the job. Everyone is raving about how much an improvement there has been in the minor league system. What was once so barron now looks promising. I am not saying Dombroski did everything right but his philosphy appears to be right for the tigers. I still say Trams should go

Would this still be the case if an available veteran such as Piniella were to be willing to come to Detroit?

Why would a proven winner and veteran want to come to the Tigers and play for an owner that hasn't proved that he knows what he's doing?

I do know Dombrowski has been extended untl next season. What happens beyond that don't know.
It was a club option that the Tigers picked up,

I'm assuming the only reason a proven winner and veteran would come to Detroit is if the paycheck was big enough.

I am glad Tram will be back. He is a manager that is going to be good when all is said and done. I for one like what he has done. His team always play hard against the Twins.
